Are you a passionate and registered Early Childhood Kaiako looking for a centre where relationships, quality teaching, and a strong sense of community genuinely matter?


With our enrolments increasing we are now looking for a nurturing infant and toddler kaiako to join our team. This is a role for a qualified and registered infants and toddler kaiako. If you are looking for a centre that has created a sense of belonging for all, and takes pride in their intentional practices and environment, then this is the centre for you.


New Shoots Rotokauri are looking for a full-time infant and toddler kaiako, that is passionate about our youngest tamariki. You will be confident in forming strong, kind, and meaningful relationships with our tamariki and their whanau. You will have previous experience and enjoy bringing strength, knowledge, and a spark into the team.


We have a team of authentic, genuine and committed teachers that truly make every single tamaiti and whaanau feel valued and an extension of the New Shoots whaanau.  Children are respected and their individual and unique personalities are nurtured.


We are looking for a kaiako who is:

  • Confident in their teaching practices.
  • Fully qualified with NZ teaching registration.
  • Confident in their planning and documentation.
  • Whanau and relationship focused. Experienced in developing strong and meaningful connections with children and their families.
  • An excellent communicator and listener.
  • Has a creative mind with the ability to create exciting and intriguing provocations that extend on our tamariki's learning.
  • A genuine child advocate.
