Carpenter / Experienced Hammer Hand - Immediate Start


AWF Blenheim are seeking skilled Carpenters and experienced Hammer Hands for ongoing work across residential and commercial projects in the Marlborough region.


With a strong pipeline of work, this is an opportunity to secure consistent hours, competitive pay, and work alongside reputable contractors. About the Role You will be working on a variety of construction sites, supporting builds from early-stage framing through to finishing.


Typical duties include but not limited to:


  • Framing, formwork and general carpentry work
  • Measuring, cutting and installing timber and building materials
  • Reading and interpreting plans
  • Assisting with concrete, cladding, and structural elements
  • Site prep, material handling, and maintaining a safe work environment
  • General Labouring & hard landscaping


What We're Looking:


For We are interested in both trade-qualified carpenters and highly experienced hammerhands.


You will ideally have:


  • NZ Trade Qualification in Carpentry OR 2+ years' relevant site experience
  • Proven experience across residential and/or commercial builds
  • Confidence using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read plans (carpenters) or work from instruction (hammerhands)
  • Strong work ethic, reliability and team focus
  • Full driver's licence and own transport preferred
  • Site Safe (advantage but not essential)
  • Hammerhands should demonstrate solid site knowledge and hands-on ability assisting trades across multiple build phases
