Job Description

New Shoots Hamilton are a modern, inner-city centre providing the education, care and home-like environment our tamariki need to thrive. The team are passionate about outdoor education and a commitment to “Playing in Nature” is at the heart of our approach.


We are looking for a qualified teacher to work in a fixed term contract covering a maternity leave starting in November. This role would be ideal for a newly qualified teacher looking at starting their teaching journey.


The ideal teacher joining New Shoots Hamilton will:


  • Be a qualified teacher with a current teacher's registration.
  • Have a real passion for exploration, creative learning, and fun.
  • Be able to communicate confidently and effectively with kaiako, tamariko, and whanau.
  • Available from November 2026.
