Food Production Supervisor


Our client is an iconic, internationally recognized provider of meat to some of the world's most renowned retailers and local supermarkets. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced supervisor to join their versatile team in Wiri.


About the Role

As the Production Supervisor, you will lead a team of approximately 20-30 employees, ensuring production plans are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role operates within a temperature-controlled food production facility and involves working with meat products including beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and seafood. The environment is maintained at approximately 4°C to ensure product quality and food safety standards.


Shift: Great work-life balance with 12-hour shifts


Choose from Shift A or Shift B :


Shift A

  • Wednesday: 7:30pm - 1:30am
  • Thursday - Saturday: 1:30pm - 1:30am

Shift B

  • Sunday - Tuesday: 1:30pm - 1:30am
  • Wednesday: 1:30pm - 7:30pm

Pay Rate: $40 - $50 (Pending experience)

What You'll Be Doing


  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 20-30 production employees
  • Deliver daily production targets, labour efficiency, and throughput goals
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, and health & safety requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and performance feedback
  • Coordinate resources to achieve production schedules and customer demand
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalating maintenance or equipment concerns where required
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture
  • Collaborate closely with Production Managers and support departments to ensure smooth operations


We welcome applications from food manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, pharmaceutical or other high-volume food manufacturing environments that have background in Supervising or Leading in Production, Operations and Manufacturing.


To be successful, you will have:


  • Proven experience leading teams in a similar environment
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills
  • Experience managing productivity, quality, safety, and performance KPIs
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Good computer literacy and reporting skills
  • Sound understanding of GMP, food safety, and health & safety practices
  • Ability to make decisions and lead effectively in a fast-paced production environment
