  • Penrose Location | Established Heavy Transport Workshop | Stable Full-Time Role
  • Competitive Hourly Rate | Monday-Friday with Occasional Saturday Work
  • Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic Required | Truck & Trailer Experience Preferre

About the Opportunity:


With more than 25 years of experience supporting Auckland's transport industry, this well-established business operates multiple heavy vehicle workshops and has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and customer service.


Based in Penrose, this role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of truck and trailer units in a busy workshop environment. You'll join a skilled team that takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance while keeping customers' fleets operating safely and efficiently.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on heavy vehicles
  • Carry out servicing, repairs, and component replacements
  • Perform safety inspections and compliance checks
  • Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns and identify root causes of recurring issues
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop housekeeping

About you:

  • Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Proven experience working on trucks and trailers
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability

  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team success
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand
