Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join a stable, collaborative finance function that plays a genuinely important role in the smooth running of the organisation. The Role This is a hands-on Accounts Officer position covering the full breadth of transactional accounting - from accounts receivable and billing through to accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end support. Key responsibilities include: Managing debtors and preparing weekly aged debtor and AR reporting with clear commentary
  • Full accounts payable processing, including accruals, prepayments, and vendor relationship management
  • Preparing accurate month-end journals within deadline
  • Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling items promptly
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes with reliable financial data
  • Identifying and driving process improvements across the finance function
  • Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external parties
  • Your Profile You're a detail-oriented finance professional who takes genuine ownership of your ledger. What we are looking for: Solid experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Receivable/Payable, or similar transactional finance role
  • Strong reconciliation skills and comfort working to month-end deadlines
  • A proactive, no-drama approach to debtor management and vendor relationships
  • Excellent communication skills - you can hold a professional, calm conversation with a stakeholder chasing an overdue payment
  • A continuous improvement mindset - you notice inefficiencies and aren't afraid to suggest a better way
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working within an ERP/finance system
