REPORTS TO: Associate Professor in Wildlife Health

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Casual

JOB FAMILY: Assistant – Research Support


POSITION OVERVIEW

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support to the School of Veterinary Sciences (SoVS) on a casual basis.


The position contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of the department and is well-suited to an individual who is flexible, reliable, and detail oriented. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic university environment, responding to changing priorities and supporting a wide range of day-to-day activities.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Screening provided literature source material, and coding for inclusion in scoping literature study
  • Managing large literature datasets


The position may also require:

  • Extraction of data from included literature sources, using MS Forms and MS Excel
  • Meeting with project team at a suitable time, to discuss progress on data processing and decision-making around finalised literature


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • PhD in veterinary or biological sciences
  • Experience conducting research and evidence of relevant research publication outputs.
  • Experience using reference management software (e.g. Zotero) and data management software (e.g. MS Excel)
