About the role


As a Class 2 Truck Driver and Traffic Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe movement of road users and workers across a range of transport and maintenance projects. No two days are the same, with responsibilities spanning traffic management, truck operation, site set-up, labouring duties and traffic control activities.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Operating Class 2 vehicles and supporting traffic management activities
  • Installing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management systems
  • Managing traffic flow and ensuring public and crew safety
  • Completing site set-up and pack-down activities
  • Conducting routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
  • Supporting emergency response and call-out work when required
  • Working closely with the wider crew to deliver safe and efficient operations


About you


  • Full NZ Class 2 Driver Licences
  • Traffic Management or Traffic Control Qualification
  • Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, transport or traffic management
  • A strong commitment to health, safety and quality
  • Great communication skills and a positive team attitude
  • The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • A willingness to get involved with physical labouring tasks as part of the team
