Relievers are a valued part of our team. Whether you’re looking for work/life balance, or want to spend your day making a difference in a child’s life, you’ll play a unique role in supporting our Kaiako to provide loving care and education for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.


We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Relievers to support our team in our early childhood centre in Palmerston North, working with children from 3 months to 5 years old. Experience working with young children is highly valued, but just as important is a positive attitude, flexibility, and a genuine love for supporting tamariki in their learning and play.

About You:

  • Reliable and available, often at short notice
  • Confident with tamariki aged 0 to 5 years old
  • Able to work up to 8 hours a day, and during school holidays
  • Committed to building strong relationships with children and whānau
  • Enthusiastic about creating fun-filled days for tamariki
  • Warm, caring nature
  • Confident communicator in English
  • NZ residency or NZ work visa is a pre-requisite
  • All potential employees are police vet checked


Whether you’re early childhood qualified, an ECE Teacher-in-training, or simply have a heart for children, we’d love to meet you and discuss this on-call relieving position. Our centre operating hours are 7.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
