Job Description

Our client is a professional Dunedin-based painting company passionate about helping properties look their best. Provides high-quality interior and exterior painting services, including residential homes, roofs, light commercial properties and investment properties.


At present we are looking for experienced painters to join the team.


Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:


  • Interior and exterior residential painting
  • Light commercial painting
  • Roof painting where required
  • Preparing surfaces prior to painting
  • Washing, scraping, sanding and filling surfaces
  • Repairing minor imperfections and preparing surfaces for finishing
  • Applying primers, sealers, undercoats and topcoats
  • Brush, roller and spray application where appropriate
  • Cutting in and completing detailed finishing work
  • Preparing and painting walls, ceilings, doors, windows, trims and other surfaces
  • Identifying areas requiring additional preparation or repair
  • Protecting floors, furniture, fittings and surrounding areas before commencing work
  • Maintaining clean and organised work areas
  • Correctly handling and maintaining painting equipment and tools
  • Working efficiently to meet project schedules and deadlines
  • Communicating professionally with clients, supervisors and other trades
  • Following all company health and safety procedures
  • Working alongside BuildSmart and other contractors when building or repair work forms part of a project
  • Ensuring completed work meets PaintSmart's quality and workmanship standards
