About the role

We are looking for a Resident Experience Manager to join our established and welcoming Metlifecare St Andrew’s Village in Cambridge .

This is a hands-on, people-focused role responsible for creating an engaging and connected resident experience across village life. You’ll plan and coordinate events, outings and activities, support new residents as they transition into the village, manage resident communications, and help connect residents with wellbeing and community services. You’ll also build strong relationships with residents, families, local groups and service providers, while helping create a vibrant, inclusive and welcoming community.

This is a permanent part-time position - 20 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday, with flexibility around how the hours are structured. We’re happy to discuss your preferred working days and hours at interview. Some flexibility may also be required from time to time to support resident events and functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and coordinate engaging village events, activities, outings and resident experiences.
  • Build a strong sense of community, belonging and connection across the village.
  • Support new residents through their transition into village life, including welcomes, introductions and buddy initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, community groups and local service providers.
  • Manage village communications, including newsletters, notices, event promotions and digital platforms.
  • Encourage resident-led activities, volunteering and community participation.
  • Help residents connect with appropriate wellness, community and support services while maintaining their independence and choice.
  • Gather resident feedback and identify opportunities to continually improve the resident experience.

These responsibilities reflect the broader REM remit in the job description, including resident transition, engagement, wellness, communications and continuous improvement.

About you

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and approachable person who enjoys connecting with people and creating a great community experience.

You will have:

  • Experience in events, customer or guest experience, community engagement, hospitality, customer-facing administration or a similar people-focused role.
  • Strong event planning and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good digital skills and confidence using online platforms and applications.
  • The ability to work independently, organise your time and take initiative.
  • A First Aid Certificate and full driver’s licence – essential.
  • Experience in retirement living, aged care or supporting people through life transitions would be an advantage.

If you enjoy bringing people together and want a role where you can have a genuine impact on the everyday experience of our residents, we’d like to hear from you.
