At New Shoots, we know that great relief teachers are more than just an extra pair of hand, they're an essential part of creating consistency, warmth, and meaningful learning experiences for our tamariki.


We're looking for qualified and unqualified Early Childhood Teachers to join our relief team, supporting our welcoming Ramarama centre.


Whether you're looking for a few days each week or more regular relief work, we'd love to hear from passionate educators who enjoy building relationships, adapting quickly, and making every day count.


We are looking for an unqualified and qualified teachers who are:

  • Confident in their teaching practices
  • Experienced in planning and documentation
  • An excellent team player and communicator
  • Experienced in working with preschoolers and creating fun, thought provoking provocations
  • Able to support daily routines and engage in play-based learning
  • Amazing in building genuine and strong relationships with children and families
