Responsibilities

Downer's Sealing department is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work across New Zealand and our Auckland crew is no exception! We’re after a Surfacing worker/Chip Runner to join our team to conduct site works and activities in accordance with project plans. Key responsibilities include:

  • General laboring activities
  • Acting as a spotter for our Chip spreading truck
  • Adjusting the application and manually spreading chip seal
  • Following health and safety standards and procedures

You will have exposure to construction with a genuine interest in the civil infrastructure industry. You will also have:

  • The ability to work hands-on as a team player
  • Good timekeeping skills – punctuality and reliability is key!
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Confidence communicating and working around the public
  • A high level of physical fitness
  • A Full Class 1 License
