The Company


Our client is a certified 'Great Place to Work' and due to growth, they have a great career opportunity available for a Senior Engineering Surveyor to join their highly professional and skilled Survey team.


This is a full-time role working on civil infrastructure projects throughout Sunshine Coast region, working on a multi-stage TMR projects that includes field and office responsibilities, and development of junior team-members.

The Role


Monday-Friday, 6:30am - 4:30pm (50 hour per week)


Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Infrastructure project


  • Support the accurate delivery of survey services on civil construction projects by assisting with set-out, pick-up (as-built), and data collection activities.
  • Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining survey equipment, and for recording measurements and observations based on instrument readings.
  • Contribute to the preparation of digital plans and models under the guidance of more senior survey staff
  • Survey Set-Out & Pick-Up - Conduct set-out and pick-up surveys using total stations, GNSS, and other field equipment.
  • Accurately mark out site features and recover field data for as-builts and QA records.
  • Data Handling & Equipment Operation.

Essential Skills and Attributes


  • Ideally looking for people that have experience working on TMR projects, roads or highways
  • Trimble or Leica
  • Sound understanding of surveying principles, processes, and field techniques.
  • Experience operating and maintaining survey equipment such as total stations, GNSS receivers, and digital levels.
  • 12d - desirable not essential
  • Tertiary survey qualification - desirable not essential
