Poultry Farm Hand

OneStaff New Plymouth is a leading provider of temporary and permanent staffing solutions for a wide range of industrial clients across the region


We are currently seeking a Poultry Farm Hand for our client located in Bell Block. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of New Zealand’s leading poultry producers


Hours of work:

  • 6:30am - 2:00pm
  • Rostered on 6 days on, 2 days off basis
  • Weekend and public holiday work will be required


Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Collecting and handling eggs
  • Assisting with general farm and property maintenance
  • Delivering eggs locally when required
  • Working alongside the team to uphold high standards of animal care, workplace safety, and farm productivity
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably requested.


Requirements:

  • Full Class 2 licence and reliable transport
  • Biosecurity awareness/commitment to Health and Safety
  • Genuine concern for animal welfare and experience with livestock
  • Reliable and hardworking attitude
  • Physically fit and capable of manual work


To work with OneStaff, you’ll need:

  • Valid ID (Passport OR NZ Birth Certificate plus Driver’s Licence)
  • 2x Work or Character references
  • Commitment to showing up and getting the job done
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
