Job Description

Trades Labourer – No Experience Required!


Ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in? Whether you’re new to construction or already have some experience under your belt, Trade Assist is looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our team. With training provided, great opportunities for ongoing work, and a variety of projects across Canterbury, it’s a great chance to get your foot in the door and build valuable skills in the trades.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Assisting tradespeople and supporting general labour duties.
  • Moving and handling materials, including heavy lifting
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
  • Following site instructions and health & safety requirements
  • Working as part of a team to get the job done


What we offer:


  • $25–$26 per hour, depending on experience
  • No previous experience required
  • On-the-job training and the opportunity to develop your skills
  • Supportive team environment and opportunities for ongoing work
  • Full PPE provided


What we’re looking for:


  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Reliable transport to travel to different job sites
  • Current Site Safe certification is a bonus, but not required
