Job Description

Trade Assist is seeking an Apprentice Carpenter or Hammer hand to join a well-established restoration and construction company based in Auckland! This is a great opportunity for a trade-qualified carpenter who enjoys a variety of work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants long-term stability with overtime opportunities available.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including timber/metal stud framing
  • Formwork
  • Installation of cladding and fixtures.
  • Work effectively with your team, communicating clearly to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.


About You:

  • Previous experience working as a Hammerhand/apprentice
  • Problem solving skills and attention for detail
  • Your own reliable transport
  • Your own basic toolbelt
  • Site Safe is advantageous but not essential
  • Current full driver’s licence required
  • NZ resident or valid work visa
