C.K. Import-Export Company NZ Limited is looking for a Production Planner and Supply Chain Officer to join its team in Te Awamutu.


It’s a growing primary-sector food manufacturer, exporting mainly to China and Southeast Asia. You’ll own production planning and connect production with sales. With the deer velvet peak season running through to February or March, you’ll hit the ground running.


What you’ll do

  • Build and manage production schedules to capacity, cost and quality targets
  • Forecast demand and provide a longer-term operational outlook
  • Shape how SAP adds value, looking after master data, inventories and bills of materials
  • Coordinate supply chain activity, packaging suppliers and dispatch
  • Work with QA to meet traceability, MPI and export market requirements


A bit more about you

  • Production planning experience in manufacturing, with strong forecasting skills
  • Hands-on ERP experience. SAP is strongly preferred, with training available
  • Food or primary industry manufacturing experience and QA knowledge
  • A clear communicator who manages customer expectations with confidence
  • Practical, resilient and flexible when deadlines move
  • Bonus: team leadership, or health and safety experience or knowledge of exporting to Asia


This role is a first step into leadership, with one direct report. Show good judgement, grit and a knack for leading people, and there's room to grow. No egos, no corporate fluff, just a team that gets the job done and enjoys it.


The finer details

  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with additional hours during peak season
  • Location: Te Awamutu, Waikato
  • Remuneration is negotiable based on experience
  • Start date: As soon as possible
