At Active Explorers Upper Hutt, our preschool room is a vibrant, energetic space where big imaginations, endless questions, and exciting discoveries fill every day. We're looking for a Certificated Early Childhood Kaiako who is ready to inspire young learners, celebrate their individuality, and help prepare them for their next big adventure: school.

About You

You're a qualified and certificated ECE teacher who:


  • Holds a recognised ECE qualification and current Teaching Council certification
  • Brings enthusiasm, positivity, and energy to every day
  • Loves working with preschool-aged children and supporting school readiness
  • Creates engaging learning experiences that encourage exploration and critical thinking
  • Values strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
  • Is committed to reflective practice and continually growing as an educator
