Our client operates across New Zealand and Australia, delivering innovative transport and road surveying solutions that help maintain and improve the country's road network through advanced data collection technology.


About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Road Survey Technician to join a specialist team responsible for collecting critical road condition data across New Zealand.


This is a highly field-based role, with approximately 20 days per month spent travelling and working on the road network across the country.


Working in a two-person crew, you'll alternate between driving a Class 5 survey vehicle and operating advanced surveying technology from the passenger seat. A significant part of the role involves managing and monitoring data collection systems, ensuring accurate information is captured to support road maintenance and infrastructure planning nationwide.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of technology, travel, and hands-on work, rather than being on the road purely as a truck driver.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' Class 5 driving experience in New Zealand or Australia
  • Clean driving record
  • Tech-savvy with confidence using software and computer-based systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable travelling for work
  • Enjoy working closely as part of a two-person team
