Located on the waterfront at Steamer Wharf, Little Blackwood has become a favourite with both locals and visitors thanks to exceptional cocktails, genuine hospitality and a team that loves what they do.


We’re part of Future Hospitality Group, a locally owned business with six unique venues and one shared goal: to keep raising the standard of hospitality in Queenstown.


We’re looking for a Bartender to join our team. Whether you’re already experienced behind the bar or looking to take the next step in your hospitality career, this is an opportunity to learn from an award-winning team, develop your cocktail skills, and be part of a venue that genuinely cares about great service.


What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing and serving beers, wines, spirits and cocktails with consistency and care.
  • Delivering genuine, personalised hospitality that keeps guests coming back.
  • Learning our cocktail menu and building your confidence behind the bar.
  • Keeping the bar clean, organised and service-ready throughout every shift.
  • Working alongside the team to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Helping maintain high standards of service, presentation and host responsibility.


About you

You enjoy looking after people and take pride in delivering a great experience.


You’ll also have:

  • Previous bar experience preferred.
  • Cocktail experience is a bonus, but we’ll teach you.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to stay calm and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Evening and weekend availability.
