The opportunity


An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager to join the leading automotive dealership group in Wellington.


This is a hands-on leadership role for an automotive professional who knows how to build a high-performing sales team, maximise vehicle sales and deliver an exceptional customer experience.


You will take ownership of:


  • Leading, coaching and developing the pre-owned sales team
  • Driving sales, profitability and lead conversion
  • Managing vehicle appraisals, pricing and stock performance
  • Creating an exceptional customer experience and driving repeat business
  • Developing new market opportunities and strengthening local relationships
  • Working closely with marketing and dealership leadership to maximise digital and showroom opportunities


What we're looking for


We are seeking a Vehicle Sales Manager,  second-in-charge, or high-performing and experienced senior sales professional ready to step up.


You will bring:


  • Proven retail automotive sales experience in a franchise dealership environment
  • Strong understanding of pre-owned vehicles, appraisals, and pricing
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • A strong commercial and customer-focused mindset
  • High levels of accountability, integrity, and professionalism
  • The energy and ambition to lead from the front
