Fenice is looking for a Duty Manager to join our team!


Fenice is Waiheke's favorite Italian restaurant. Located right in central Oneroa, Fenice attracts locals and internationals alike. We cater for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a range of pizza's and other a la carte dining options. Fenice has been named one of the best local restaurants in Auckland, as well as many winning dishes in the iconic Eats.


Fenice has a unique family culture. We look after one another and always work as one team, front and back of the house. We are a small team, which has a big impact.


Scope of the role:

  • Overall, on the floor/shift management of the Front of House at Fenice
  • Work with the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef to deliver a seamless experience
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service.
  • Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of Fenice
  • Support and lead new staff through our training and onboarding program
  • Ensure and maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensuring facilities comply with health regulations
  • Keep menu's up to date
  • Manage the POS system


The Technical Bits:

  • NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or:
  • At least two years of relevant experience can substitute for the formal qualifications listed above
  • The Duty Managers Certificate is not essential but preferred

Location and hours:

  • Location of work 122a Oceanview Road, Oneroa, Waiheke Island
  • Must live on Waiheke Island or willing to relocate for this role
  • The business is open 7 days for breakfast, lunch & dinner 8:30 am - 8:30 pm
  • Minimum 30 hours per week
