Construction Surveyor, Auckland Central, $100K-$145K


The Company


Alexander Knight is partnering with our client to recruit a driven and capable Construction Surveyor to join their growing Auckland-based team.


With a strong pipeline of work across commercial buildings, road & rail, civil, and earthworks projects, this role offers excellent variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to further develop your technical capability with modern equipment and supportive mentoring.

The Role


You will take ownership of project delivery while working both independently and collaboratively. This position suits someone who is confident in the field, organised, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities from site through to final data processing.


You will be provided with:

  • Modern dual cab ute
  • Trimble total station & GPS
  • Laptop with 12d & CAD
  • Access to additional surveying software
  • Ongoing support and mentoring
  • Time management and project coordination
  • Client relationship management
  • Data management and processing
  • Set-out and as-built surveys
  • Topographic surveys
  • Establishment of control networks
  • UAV surveys
  • Drafting and survey data processing

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Land Surveying or Engineering (preferred but not essential)
  • NZ residency and a full driver’s licence
  • Previous NZ surveying experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work semi-autonomously and take responsibility for project delivery
  • Well-rounded surveying skill set and strong work ethic
