Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Baker to join their busy café kitchen. This varied, hands-on role involves preparing fresh cabinet food, baking cakes and sweet treats, cooking breakfast and brunch, and assisting the wider kitchen team with catering and events.


Your Key Responsibilities Include:

- Prepare fresh café cabinet food daily.

- Bake cakes, slices and a variety of sweet treats.

- Cook and prepare savouries and other baked goods.

- Prepare and cook dishes from the breakfast and brunch menu.

- Assist with salads and other fresh cabinet items.

- Support the other line chefs during busy service periods.

- Assist with platters, catering and event food preparation.

- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.

- Ensure the kitchen and workstations are clean, organised and compliant with food safety requirements.



Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in a bakery, café or commercial kitchen.

- Confident in baking, food preparation and breakfast service.

- Ability to multitask in a busy kitchen environment.

- Strong attention to detail and food presentation.

- Reliable, organised and a team player.

- Available for early-morning starts.
