The Towsafe team has been involved in the tow bar and towing industry throughout New Zealand and Australia for over 25 years. All Towsafe Tow Bars are New Zealand-made in our Christchurch-based business. We are constantly working with the latest developments within the automotive industry and pride ourselves on customer service and satisfaction.

As we head into our busy season, we're looking for an additional experienced Tow Bar Fitter / Wirer to join our highly skilled team in Addington. This is a full-time role.


We are interested in applications from a range of experienced automotive backgrounds, including:


  • Tow Bar Fitters / Wirers
  • Auto Electricians
  • Mechanics
  • Vehicle Installers
  • Other automotive tradespeople with relevant vehicle fitting and wiring experience


Previous experience fitting and installing tow bars and wiring vehicles for trailer plugs would be an advantage, but we are also open to candidates with strong transferable skills and a willingness to learn.


We are looking for someone who is reliable, has excellent attention to detail, good time management skills, and a positive can-do attitude. The ability to weld would be a bonus.


As you will mainly be working on new, expensive, luxury and exotic vehicle brands, professionalism, care and an excellent eye for detail are essential.
