Join our Wellington Maintenance team and play a key role in keeping our roads and infrastructure safe, functional, and looking their best.


We’re on the lookout for a motivated General Worker who’s keen to be part of a hardworking crew delivering essential maintenance work across the region. This is a great entry point into civil if you’ve got some operator or construction exposure and want to build your skills further.


In this role, you’ll be out on site supporting day-to-day maintenance activities – no two days are the same. You’ll be involved in:


  • Setting up safe worksites for your crew and the public
  • Assisting with machinery operation and general labouring tasks
  • Supporting repairs and maintenance across roading infrastructure
  • Ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are used efficiently
  • Working as part of a tight-knit team to deliver high-quality results


Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills


  • Full Class 2 Licence (essential)
  • WTR an advantage, but not essential
  • Some experience in civil construction or labouring preferred
  • Physically fit and happy working outdoors
  • Reliable, hardworking, and keen to learn
  • Strong team attitude - you pitch in wherever needed
