Job Description

PERSOL is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Programmed Facility Management for an experienced Sports Turf Operator with a Class 2 licence to join their Henderson-based team.


This is a hands-on role working across sports fields and turf projects, operating tractors and specialised machinery to deliver high-quality field renovations, turf construction and grounds maintenance.


What you'll be doing


  • Operating tractors and specialised turf machinery
  • Sports field renovations and turf construction
  • Ground preparation and high-level grounds maintenance
  • Operating equipment including top dressers, aerators, verti-drains and turf cutters
  • Carrying out daily machinery and equipment checks
  • Working safely and effectively as part of an experienced field crew
  • Helping deliver quality sports turf projects across Auckland


What we're looking for

We're keen to hear from people with 2+ years' experience in:


  • Sports turf or sports grounds maintenance
  • Commercial landscaping
  • Horticulture
  • Civil earthworks
  • Grounds maintenance or similar machinery-based work


You will also need:


  • Full Class 2 Driver Licence - essential
  • WTR endorsements - preferred
  • Proven tractor and heavy machinery operating experience
  • A good understanding of ground preparation, turf or renovation work
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to health and safety
  • The ability to work outdoors and as part of a team


A Certificate III in Sports Turf Management, Horticulture or equivalent is highly regarded, but we're also interested in experienced operators with the right practical skills.
