Job Description

  • The Company Our client is an established investment business that has recently become part of a larger international group. As the business continues to evolve, they are looking to strengthen their finance function and bring greater rigour and structure to their reporting. The Role This is a newly created Financial Manager position, reporting to the CFO and responsible for owning the month-end and financial reporting process. The role will also be involved across budgeting, forecasting, cashflow reporting and financial modelling. You will work closely with the CFO on acquisitions, including accounting treatment and integration, and play an important role in improving the quality and efficiency of reporting to the wider group. The role will also oversee the day-to-day accounting function, working closely with the existing Accountant and Finance Clerk. Your Profile We are looking for a CA or equivalent qualified accountant who is hands-on, technically strong and comfortable owning the month-end process. You could come from a senior BAS or commercial accounting background. Industry experience is less important than having strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work at pace in a deadline-driven environment. You will be proactive and responsive, with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and an international parent company. Strong Excel skills are essential, with VBA experience advantageous.
