Job Description

RB Recruitment is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Labourers and Hammer hands for a range of ongoing opportunities across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region.


We work with a variety of trusted clients across the construction, civil, and landscaping sectors, meaning successful candidates will have access to consistent work, varied projects, and opportunities for both short-term and long-term placements.


These roles suit individuals who are keen to work, show up consistently, and are looking to build or continue a solid career in the trades and construction industry. Having your WTR, or heavy truck licenses is also an advantage


Depending on experience and placement, duties may include:


  • General site labouring and manual handling
  • Concreting, Precasting work
  • Fencing and decking work
  • Basic hard and soft landscaping
  • Ability and experience in using power tools
  • Assisting tradespeople on construction sites
  • Basic carpentry and hammer hand duties
  • Civil construction support work


What we offer


  • Weekly pay ranging from $25-$32ph (depending on skill set)
  • Career growth - giving you support to gain more licenses (class 2/4/5/WTR)
  • Consistent work over the summer period!
  • PPE provided and the relevant tools of the trade dependent on site.
  • Opportunity for long-term placements and permanent roles


This role is Christchurch based. We will not be accepting international applications.
