Job Description

This is a varied, hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys getting stuck in, can work independently, and takes pride in producing quality work and keeping things organised.


You’ll spend part of your time welding and fabricating fencing products, while also helping manage stock, materials, picking orders and general stores duties. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys having variety in their day and being part of a practical, busy workshop environment.


The Role

  • MIG welding galvanised pipe and SHS
  • Fabricating bolt-down and bolt-on posts, gates and custom chainlink panels
  • Fabricating vehicle and pedestrian gates with chainlink and barbed wire
  • Cutting pipe to length and preparing fencing components for production
  • Reading basic drawings and working from measurements
  • Picking and preparing orders for supply jobs
  • Receiving, checking and managing stock and materials
  • Loading and unloading materials and keeping the workshop and stores organised
  • Supporting the wider team where required


What We’re Looking For

  • Previous MIG welding and/or fabrication experience
  • Experience welding galvanised pipe would be an advantage
  • Good practical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a workshop, manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Good organisational skills and an ability to keep track of stock and materials
  • A reliable, can-do attitude
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness for handling materials and stock
  • A current forklift licence would be an advantage, but is not essential


About the Role

This role would suit a welder/fabricator looking to add variety to their day, or someone with both welding and stores experience who enjoys a hands-on environment.


You’ll be working across both fabrication and stores , so no two days will necessarily be the same. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical, takes pride in their work and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
