About The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, leading a team of skilled technicians and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

You'll manage workflow, coordinate repairs and servicing, provide technical guidance to technicians, and act as a key point of contact for customers throughout the service process.


This role is ideal for someone looking to reduce their time on the tools while remaining involved in technical problem-solving, mentoring others, and developing their leadership capability. Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting a team of workshop technicians
  • Managing workshop workflow and job scheduling
  • Ensuring quality service and repair work is completed to a high standard
  • Providing technical support and mentoring to technicians
  • Liaising with customers regarding servicing and repair requirements
  • Working closely with the Service Coordinator to provide job updates
  • Reviewing and preparing jobs for invoicing
  • Monitoring warranty reports and ensuring manufacturer timeframes are met
  • Upholding health and safety policies and procedures across the workshop

We're looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership.

You'll bring:

  • A Heavy Diesel trade qualification and strong mechanical experience
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills
  • Sound business acumen, with the ability to manage workflow, productivity, and workshop performance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and keep the workshop running smoothly
  • A proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
