The opportunity


A busy and well-established franchise dealership looking for qualified Light Automotive Technicians to join their professional workshop team in Napier.


This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy working with modern vehicle technology and are looking for long-term stability within a reputable franchise environment.


The role


Working as part of a skilled and supportive workshop team, your responsibilities will include:


  • Carrying out scheduled servicing and routine maintenance
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing warranty and recall repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and fault-finding
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair records
  • Working efficiently to meet workshop deadlines
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness and workmanship
  • Supporting a positive and professional team environment


What we're looking for


  • Relevant automotive trade qualification
  • Previous franchise dealership experience
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Sound mechanical and electrical repair skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Full and valid driver's licence
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Genuine commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
  • An interest in ongoing technical development and modern vehicle technology
