Job Description

Are you an experienced Site Manager and trade-qualified carpenter who knows how to keep a busy construction site running safely, efficiently and on schedule?


We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join an established Wellington construction team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and work closely with the Project Manager to successfully deliver projects to the required quality and programme.


If you’re organised, solutions-focused and confident leading people on site, this could be a great next step.


You’ll ideally bring:


  • Previous experience in a Site Manager or similar construction leadership position.
  • Trade qualification in carpentry and strong practical construction experience.
  • Broad knowledge of construction methods, materials and disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of construction Health & Safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and construction best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and subcontractor coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong relationship management skills across clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • A practical and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using Procore would be advantageous.
  • A high level of accountability and pride in delivering successful projects.
