Job Description

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced painter to join a local client’s team in Tokoroa. If you take pride in your workmanship, can prepare surfaces properly and deliver a quality finish, we want to hear from you.

You’ll work across a range of residential and commercial painting projects, handling everything from preparation through to the final coat. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys varied work and knows that a lasting finish starts with getting the groundwork right.

Location: Tokoroa

Pay rate: $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience


  • What you’ll be doingPreparing surfaces by sanding, filling, masking and priming
  • Completing interior and exterior painting across a range of surfaces
  • Applying paints and coatings to a high standard
  • Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe
  • Working with the team to meet project timelines and deliver a quality result

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a painter on residential and/or commercial projects
  • Strong preparation skills and a good eye for detail
  • Confidence using painting tools and equipment
  • A reliable approach and the ability to work well with others
  • Airless spraying experience would be an advantage
