He angitūtanga / The opportunity:


We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Barista to join our lounge team at Queenstown Airport .


This is a casual position , with shifts offered as and when required based on business needs. Weekly hours are not guaranteed.


You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the coffee bar, preparing and presenting quality espresso beverages while delivering warm, professional service. You will also support stock management, maintain a clean and hygienic work area, and help create a welcoming lounge experience for customers.


Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Prepare, present and serve quality espresso coffee and other beverages.
  • Deliver friendly, attentive and professional service to customers.
  • Prepare the coffee bar for service and complete closing procedures.
  • Receive, replenish and rotate stock while helping to minimise waste.
  • Clean and maintain the coffee bar, espresso machine and surrounding areas.


He kōrero mōu / About you:


  • Previous barista experience in a similar hospitality environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage your time effectively.
  • A flexible, reliable and positive approach to casual work.
  • The ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
  • An NZQA Level 2 or 3 Barista Skills Certificate , equivalent training or an NZQA Food Handling Certificate would be advantageous.
