Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Business Partner to join their team and provide high-quality commercial insight and decision support across a complex, multi-site operating environment.


This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with operational and senior leaders, challenging thinking, identifying opportunities and providing the financial insight needed to make better commercial decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with operating unit leadership to provide commercial insight and challenge business performance.
  • Developing service and tender pricing models.
  • Supporting supplier contract negotiations and commercial analysis.
  • Analysing costs, margins, volumes, customer profitability and lifecycle economics.
  • Identifying operational and cost improvement opportunities.
  • Providing detailed trend, variance, rate and volume analysis.
  • Partnering with the business through annual planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Building financial models and analysis to support projects, tenders, acquisitions and business development initiatives.
  • Providing strategic and commercial advice to operational leadership.
  • Translating complex financial information into clear, commercially relevant insights.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Be CA/CPA qualified and possess a tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Business.
  • Have proven experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role.
  • Have experience working within a complex, diverse or multi-site organisation.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Have exceptional capability in financial modelling, pricing, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Have the confidence to challenge and constructively influence senior stakeholders.
