Job Description

Traffic Management staff needed - TC, TMO & STMS roles across civil projects with strong pay and steady work.

  • $25-$28/hr (TC/TMO) | $30-$38/hr (STMS)
  • Work across civil and infrastructure projects with established contractors
  • Strong focus on NZTA compliance, safety, and long-term project pipelines

We are currently seeking experienced Traffic Management professionals across multiple levels to join leading civil and infrastructure projects throughout Wellington. These roles focus on hands-on site delivery, supporting safe and efficient traffic management across a variety of active worksites.

You’ll be working with well-established civil contractors and infrastructure providers, helping deliver projects safely while maintaining compliance with NZTA standards.

Key responsibilities Traffic Management / Site Delivery roles:

  • Running traffic management sites safely and efficiently
  • Implementing and maintaining TMPs on active worksites
  • Coordinating with civil crews and contractors on site
  • Ensuring full compliance with NZTA standards and site requirements
  • Managing traffic flow, signage, and temporary traffic management setups
  • Supporting safe delivery across multiple project environments

STMS roles:

  • Leading traffic management operations on site
  • Managing crews and ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently
  • Reviewing and implementing TMP requirements
  • Monitoring compliance and adjusting traffic controls where required
  • Maintaining strong communication with site teams and stakeholders
  • What we’re looking for Relevant Traffic Management qualifications (TC, TMO, STMS)
  • Experience working within traffic management environments
  • Experience with TMPs is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of site safety and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work effectively across civil and infrastructure projects
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well in team environments
