About the Role


ExtraStaff are seeking experienced Civil Operators to join our talent pool for current and upcoming civil construction projects across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region.


We are looking for skilled and versatile operators with experience across earthworks, roading, reinstatements, drainage, and general civil construction. Opportunities are available with established civil contractors as they gear up for a busy construction season.


What We're Looking For


  • Proven experience operating civil machinery in construction environments
  • Experience operating excavators (up to 20T), rollers, loaders, and other civil plant
  • Current WTR endorsements
  • Class 2 or Class 4 License preferred
  • Earthworks and roading experience
  • Drainage experience advantageous
  • Happy to work across multiple machines and assist where required
  • Strong work ethic and reliable transport
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety


Requirements


  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Physically fit and willing to assist with labouring duties when required
  • Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
  • SiteSafe or ConstructSafe preferred
