The Venue

Ebisu serves up contemporary Japanese fare in a gloriously moody space right on Auckland’s waterfront in an historic building in Auckland’s Britomart precinct. A mixture of booths and tables are perfect for big groups or intimate gatherings. The menu draws together classic Japanese and European techniques - a mix of new-style sushi and sashimi as well as traditional Japanese dishes enlivened with unexpected twists. We have an extensive sake menu, Japan-inspired cocktails and a range of local, Japanese and imported beers.


The Opportunity


We are searching for a dedicated Kitchen Hand for our stunning venue in Britomart. Ideally you will have previous kitchen hand experience, the ability to communicate effectively in a fast paced environment, great work and team ethic, the right to work in New Zealand and the ability to work flexible rosters and weekends.


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen at all times
  • Assisting in the execution of stock management including, ordering, receipting, storing, and rotation
  • Adhering to tasks set out by senior team members
