Job Description

Are you an experienced Fabricator Welder looking for solid workshop-based work in South Auckland?


We’re looking for skilled Fabricator Welders to join an East Tamaki workshop with a steady pipeline of MIG welding and fabrication work.

You’ll be reading engineering drawings and producing quality fabricated steel components to specification.

Start date: ASAP

Pay rate: $33.00–$35.00 p/h| Weekly pay

About the Role

This is a hands-on workshop role where you’ll fabricate, weld and assemble steel components from engineering drawings and specifications while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.

  • What You’ll Be DoingFabricating structural and custom steel components
  • Carrying out high-quality MIG welding
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Measuring, cutting and preparing materials for fabrication
  • Assembling components accurately to specification
  • Working with the team to keep jobs moving and meet deadlines
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health and safety
  • What We’re Looking ForProven experience as a Fabricator Welder
  • Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills
  • Experience with mild steel, carbon steel and structural steel
  • Confidence reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Flux core welding experience is highly regarded
  • Welding tickets or relevant certifications are advantageous
  • Reliable, safety-conscious and committed to quality workmanship
