At RealNZ, we create extraordinary dining experiences in some of New Zealand's most stunning locations. As a Chef de Partie (BBQ), you'll work alongside an expert culinary team, ensuring every dish is cooked to perfection while upholding the highest food safety standards.


What you'll be doing:


  • Taking charge of the BBQ/grill station, preparing and serving high-quality grilled meats and other dishes.
  • Assisting the Executive Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
  • Managing stock, handling food supplies, and maintaining optimum storage conditions.
  • Following and enforcing all food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Supporting menu development and execution, contributing ideas for improvement.
  • Training and mentoring other kitchen staff as needed.


What you bring to the table:


  • A relevant cooking qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, including grill/BBQ expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of food control plans (FCP) and safe food handling.
  • Experience in café and pastry production (bonus points!).
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for quality, consistency, and delivering an outstanding culinary experience
