About the Role


ExtraStaff are seeking experienced Quarry Operators to join our talent pool for current and upcoming opportunities across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region.


We are looking for reliable operators with experience working in quarry, port, or bulk material handling environments. The role involves operating crushing equipment, loaders, and excavators while supporting day-to-day quarry operations in a safe and efficient manner.


What We're Looking For


  • Previous experience working in a quarry, port, or similar heavy industry environment
  • Experience operating crushers and processing plant equipment
  • Proven experience operating large wheeled loaders and excavators
  • Current WTR endorsements
  • Class 4 Licence preferred (Class 2 will also be considered)
  • Reliable transport and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety


Requirements


  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Physically fit and capable of working in a busy quarry environment
  • Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
  • Previous experience operating heavy machinery and mobile plant
