DUTY MANAGER / ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER - ONSLOW TAVERN


Onslow Tavern is a new local pub in Khandallah, now open, and we're on the lookout for an experienced Duty Manager or Assistant General Manager to join the team.


We are looking for someone to fill a full time position as a duty manager / restaurant manager.


Management experience in the hospitality industry is preferred, but if you are looking to make a step up, we are happy to train the right person for the role.

We're a proper neighbourhood pub: somewhere people come for a good meal, a drink and a relaxed atmosphere where customers and team members feel at home. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys the energy of a busy service, takes pride in delivering excellent hospitality and knows how to bring out the best in a team.


What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a senior hospitality management role
  • Confidence managing a busy pub kitchen and bar
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for beer, food and hospitality
  • The ability to lead, support, motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • A positive, practical and hands-on approach
  • Keen to be part of a new venue and help us build the front of house from the ground up
  • LCQ and Duty Manager's Certificate preferred

You'll be joining a supportive management team and a hardworking, friendly crew who take pride in creating a great experience for every customer. We value teamwork, reliability, good communication and a positive attitude, and we'll support the right person to grow and progress with the business.


We're open seven days a week, so flexibility across a seven-day roster, including weekends, is essential. The role does not involve major late nights.


Competitive salary or pay rate based on experience and ability.
