Switchboard Assemblers & Electrical Installers – Commercial & Industrial in Christchurch | Full Time | Immediate Start


We’re working with a busy Christchurch-based operation that builds and installs large commercial and industrial switchboards. We’re looking for people in two areas: those who build them in the workshop, and those who install and wire them on site.


Workshop – Switchboard Assemblers

  • Assembling and wiring commercial and industrial switchboards to spec
  • Fitting components, busbars, DIN rail, and terminations
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
  • Working to production deadlines while maintaining build quality
  • Background in electrical, electro-mechanical, or mechanical assembly welcomed

Site – Electrical Installers

  • Installing and terminating switchboards on commercial and industrial sites
  • Cable pulling, terminating, and labelling
  • Testing, commissioning, and fault finding

What we’re looking for across both roles:

  • Relevant trade or assembly experience
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Current NZ Electrical Practising Licence - highly advantageous
  • Electrical or Mechanical Pre-Trades welcomed
  • Detail-oriented and mechanically minded with a quality-focused approach
  • Able to work independently and manage your time
  • NZ work rights essential
  • Clean MOJ and Drug Test
