Hallensteins Nelson is looking for a Worker in Charge who can lead by example, bring great energy to the team and create an awesome experience for every customer.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to build your leadership skills, support the team and help drive the success of the store. If you’re confident, adaptable and ready to step up when it counts, we’d love to hear from you!


We’re looking for someone with full availability across the following shifts:


Saturday: 12pm-4pm

About the role:


As a Worker In Charge, you'll be at the heart of the Hallensteins experience - making sure every customer feels looked after, supporting the team and helping drive sales results.


In this role, you’ll:


  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience and make every customer feel welcome
  • Work towards achieving and exceeding sales targets and store goals
  • Support the day-to-day running of the store, from stock replenishment and housekeeping to fitting rooms and POS
  • Take charge of shifts, including opening and closing when required
  • Lead by example and be a positive role model for the team
  • Stay adaptable and ready to jump in wherever you’re needed
  • Step up into a leadership role when required, while never being afraid to get stuck in and get the job done


We’re looking for someone who:


  • Is confident, friendly and enjoys connecting with people
  • Has a positive attitude and brings a great vibe to the team
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Takes initiative and isn’t afraid to get stuck in
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Is reliable and flexible across weekends and peak trade
  • Is ready to develop their leadership skills and take the next step in their retail career
