Job Description

We're on the lookout for experienced Hammerhands ready to get stuck into work across Wellington.


We’re working with a local client we know well who has a great opportunity for a Hammerhand to join their team. With a solid pipeline of residential and commercial projects, they can offer consistent work for the right person.



Location: Wellington

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $28.00–$32.00 per hour (paid weekly)


  • What you'll be doingAssisting qualified builders on residential and commercial sites
  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling building materials
  • General carpentry support including framing, formwork, and fit-out
  • Site preparation and keeping worksites safe and organised
  • Loading and unloading materials, handling tools and equipment
  • Following health and safety procedures on site
  • What we're looking forSolid Hammerhand experience on residential and/or commercial sites
  • Confident using hand and power tools with good site awareness
  • Own basic tools and ready to get stuck in
  • Reliable, hardworking, and a strong team player
  • Physically fit and able to handle a full day on site
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Clean Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check
