Heavy Diesel Mechanic


We’re currently looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop in West Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys maintaining and repairing heavy machinery and diesel vehicles. Location: West Auckland, Auckland

Start date: Immediate start available

Pay rate: Up to $45 per hour depending on experience, plus weekly pay


About the Role:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the diagnosis, servicing, and repair of heavy diesel vehicles and machinery. You'll work on a range of equipment including trucks, plant, and heavy machinery, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and ready for operation.


  • Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical faults on heavy diesel vehicles and machinery
  • Service and maintain trucks, plant, and equipment
  • Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Complete maintenance records and workshop documentation as required
  • What We're Looking ForNew Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Level 4)
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Strong ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment
  • Full NZ Driver Licence
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
