Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Officer to join a leading engineering firm that exports its products to the global market. This is a great opportunity to join an established purchasing team!


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing administration support to the purchasing and production teams
  • Assisting with Bills of Materials (BoMs)
  • Tracking orders and communicating with warehouse staff
  • Undertaking stock counts and ensuring stock-on-hand quantities are accurate within the ERP system
  • Supporting the wider purchasing team with day-to-day tasks as required


The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Excellent numerical, analytical and practical problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel and Teams
  • Strong computer skills with previous experience using ERP systems
  • The ability to quickly assess situations, use initiative and act decisively and effectively
  • Proven relationship-building skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
