We are seeking high-energy individuals to join us for the summer. Our Work Placement Program will run from November 2026 until February 2027 and is a fantastic opportunity for you to experience what a career in local government could be like!


This exciting opportunity is in our Consenting Services team. The Kaupapa of this team is to apply planning rules to determine whether you are allowed to go ahead with building projects in accordance with The Resource Management Act 1991.

If successful, you will work within a supportive team gaining hands-on experience and contributing towards various and diverse projects – plus you’ll be lucky enough to learn from some of our best and brightest leaders.
